I would rather have spent my time in Guantamono bay, at camp x ray, hooded and ear muffed, so i wouldnt have to listen to the endless crap spewed out, and would not have to,look at the drab interior, also a nice orange jump suit is a hell of a lot more comfortable, than being strapped into a suit and tie for hours on end. One further bonus, not having to go out on field service.

the debate is basically between mainstream geological understanding of the earth's history and "young earth creationism" in particular with how the evidence relates to the occurrence of a global flood in the recent past.. a couple of points from the yec website www.icr.org are raised as examples in order to kick things off .
Another great point Anony Mous, All this material on this post has been extremely helpful, even the personal negative posts have had a positive impact because with the benifit of hindsight I have been forced me to re-evaluate my attitude, and help me see more clearly where I am on this learning curve,NOT quite as high up as I thought.
My next thoughts are what else is False, or a metaphor ??

I hate to disagree with our English cousins, but Scotland is a major exporter of oil, and we have the highest oil prices in Europe, so I know how you Canadians feel, larger neighbour next door, your the exporter, yet your paying more for your energy costs than the USA.
I sold my car one year ago, bought myself a bike, and have saved thousands, soon only the Rich or drug dealers will be able to afford cars, and where I live they are both, still the majority.
Only downside, wife and daughter get all the money saved, I still look like a scarecrow, even though we are(THEY ARE) fairly affluent, IM still a tramp,any saved money goes on private tuition, and the make up counter at MAC, and her and the bloody daughter.

Hey Talla, great post and you others, that last commentry, brought a huge GRIN to my face, ha ha ha I was wrong, and a bit pigheaded, as an earlier poster pointed out my Faith, got in the way,boy was that an eye opener, years of indoctranation, and I realise I must be carrying a huge residual amount of it around with me, thanks for perseveering, I just need to test everything, just dont want to get duped again.
